Clarence Bagwell

KINGS MOUNTAIN, N.C. -- Mr. Clarence Rueben "Billy" Bagwell Sr. was born in Kings Mountain, N.C. on Sept. 8, 1930. He passed away on July 26, 2007 in Sacramento, Calif. He was born to James Thomas and Eva Gertrude Fuller Bagwell.

Clarence leaves behind his beloved eternal companion, Ardith Fay Apedaile; three daughters, Shirley Bagwell, Shelia Keefer (Donald) and Wanda Simeona (Gordon); one son, Clarence "Ben" Jr. (Rose); 11 granddaughters; 10 grandsons; and 38 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by four sisters and three brothers. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, one brother and one great-grandchild. He retired from the Army after 22 years. He loved genealogy. He was a temple worker. He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints.

The family invites friends to attend a visitation Thursday, August 2, 2007, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes, 4701 Marysville Blvd., Sacramento and a funeral service Friday, August 3, 2007 at 2 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints, 8385 Watt Ave., Elverta, CA 95843. Interment to follow at Sunset Lawn Memorial Park.
