INDIAN LAND -- Mrs. Eleanor Caskey Wilson, 90, went to be with Jesus on Tuesday, July 31, 2007.
Born in 1917, Mrs. Wilson was a daughter of the late Thomas Millard Caskey and Maude Moss Caskey. She graduated from Indian Land High School. Mrs. Wilson worked for Celanese Corporation for 38 years. She was a life-long member of Belair United Methodist Church, where she served as MYF director and Sunday School teacher.
Surviving are her son, Donald Ted Wilson Sr. and wife, Jean H. Wilson; her son, Kenneth Lowell "Butch" Wilson and wife, Marianne C. Wilson; her daughter-in-law, Doris F. Wilson; grandchildren, Donna W. Roy and daughter, Erica, Delaine W. Childress and husband, Rev. Jeff Childress and their children, Emory and Georgia, Donald T. Wilson Jr. and wife, Kimberly and their children, Jarrett and Madeline; Renee McConnell and daughter, Rachel; Amy Hinnant and husband, David and their children, Chase and Cole, Sandra Wilson, Toby Wilson and Anna Brown and son, Eli; sisters, Mildred C. Epps and husband, Jase, Alice C. Lynn, Yvonne C. Thaxton and husband, Reggie; and brothers, L.D. Caskey and wife Margaret. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel W. Wilson; a daughter, Betty Joyce Wilson; a son, Major Jerry Woodrow Wilson USMC; brothers, Neal Caskey and Ernest Caskey; and sisters, Alva C. Scoggins and Nanny C. Dobbins.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3, 2007 at Belair United Methodist Church. The funeral will follow at 2 p.m., with the Revs. Tony Adams and Jeff Childress officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
