SOMERSET, N.J. -- Mr. James Edward Hardin died Saturday, July 28, 2007, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, N.J.
The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 5, 2007, at The Oratory, with Father David Valtierra officiating. Burial will be at Barber Memorial Cemetery.
A native of Rock Hill, he was the son of the late James C. and Frances Mobley Hardin. He was educated in the public schools of York County and was a graduate of Emmett Scott High School. He retired from Twin County Grocery in 1998 after 30 years of service.
Survivors include his longtime companion, Annie R. Little of the home; two sons, Christopher Dion Hardin (Tracy) of Rock Hill and Victor Lamont Hagood (Kim) of Somerset, N.J.; one daughter, Rinda Hardin (Larry) of Rock Hill; four grandchildren; three brothers, Alexander R. Hardin, Donald L. Hardin and Felix M. Hardin, all of Rock Hill; and one sister, Dorothy R. Hardin Massey of Rock Hill.

Mr. Hardin may be viewed at the church Sunday from 1 p.m. until time of the service. The family will receive friends at 803 Ogden Road.
