CHESTER -- The funeral for Mr. Paul Lee Small of 111 MLK Memorial Drive will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19, 2007, at Mount Prospect Baptist Church, 2988 Mount Prospect Baptist Church in Chester, S.C. Pastor George Sims will officiating and deliver the eulogy, assisted by the Rev. Fred Murphy, Evangelist Barbara McClinton, Minister Linda Simpson and the Rev. McKinley Woods. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Small, 68, died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2007, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, N.C.
Born in Chester County on Aug. 19, 1938, he was the son of the late Leacost Small and Elease Guinn Small. He attended the public schools of Chester County. A member of Mount Prospect Baptist Church and a member of the hymn choir. He retired from Shugart's Manufacturer as a welder.
Survivors include Easter Mae Elam Small; children, Deborah Lee, Sam Eddie, Paul Anthony, Brenda Loretta, Sammie Huvester, Earl Eugene (Gwen) and Carol Elaine; brother-in-law, Sammie Elam (Martha); sister-in-law, Eloise Land; niece, Mary Ann Small-Wylie; nephew Willie Lee Small; aunt, Willie Mae Guinn Matthews of Colinia, N.J.; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
