CLOVER -- Mr. Lonnie Justin Gill, 20, of 226 Muldoon Lane, passed away Saturday, Aug. 4, 2007.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. today at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel in Gastonia, N.C., with the Revs. Dick Whitener and Rick Waycaster officiating. Pallbearers will be Bud Fox, Jamie Alexander, Todd Knopp, Charles Giles, Adam Dustin and Josh Dustin. Honorary pallbearers will be Josh Chavis, Jeremy Knopp, Ryan Harrell and Mark Burton. Interment will be at Olney Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Gastonia.
Born July 19, 1987, in Gaston County, Lonnie was a son of Curtis Franklin Gill and Carman Braswell Gill. He was an avid baseball player and was on the Jr. Varsity team in his junior year at Clover High School. He dedicated his life to work and enjoyed life to it's fullest. He was an outstanding person and touched the lives of all he knew. All the family loves you Lonnie and we will miss you.
In addition to his parents, Lonnie is survived by his sister, Cheri Elizabeth Gill of the home; grandmother, Florence Hester Gill of the home; grandfather, Michael Edward Ross Sr. of Bessemer City; great-grandmothers, Pamela White of Rutherfordton and Frances Cato of Gastonia; uncle, Ty Wolf who was his supervisor, and the crew at Williams Electric; uncles, Gary Green, Michael Ross and Larry Braswell; aunts, Joanie James, Brandi Scism, Melissa Ross, Darlene Davis and Loraine Stowe; special cousin, Jessica Green, and a number of other cousins; special friends, Bud Fox, Josh Chavis, Adam Dustin, Joshua Dustin, Jamie Alexander, Mark Burton, Ryan Harrell, Cathy Fox, and a number of other friends also.

Lonnie was preceded in death by his grandmother, Deborah Ross; great-parents, Lonnie Braswell and Ira and Stella Hester; aunt, Lori Braswell; and uncle, Christopher Braswell.
Arrangements are being handled by Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, Gastonia.
