Patricia Hedgepeth

CHARLOTTE -- Mrs. Patricia Sutton Hedgepeth, 45, loving mother, wife, sister and friend, passed away Monday, Aug. 13, 2007 at Presbyterian Hospital.

The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, 2007, at Trinity Baptist Church, 802 Crawford Road, Rock Hill, S.C., with the Rev. C.S. Sanders Sr. officiating. Burial will be at Barber Memorial Cemetery.

A native of Rock Hill, she was the daughter of the late Willie L. & Elizabeth T. Sutton. She graduated from Rock Hill High School in 1980 and from the University of South Carolina in 1985. A long time member of Trinity Baptist Church, she previously served on the YWA Musical Choir and the Gospel Chorus. After marrying and moving to Charlotte, N.C., she and her husband joined University Park Baptist Church, but she still used her God given angelic voice to harmonize beautiful gospel music with her sister, Polly.

She is survived by her husband, Elvis Hedgepeth of the home; her daughter (whom she adored), Kimberly Hedgepeth of the home; five sisters, Polly Sutton and Cam Williams, both of Rock Hill, Pam Williams of Columbia, S.C., Willie Ann Partlow of Charlotte and Laura Davis of Atlanta, Ga.; seven brothers, Perry (Alicia) Sutton, Quantus (Sheree) Houston and Willie Killian, all of Rock Hill, Melvin (Michelle) Nelson of York, Quenton (Tarasha) Killian of Sharon, S.C., Clinton Killian of Great Falls and Fred (Karen) Wallace of Tennessee; two special nephews, Herson Reid and Najee Sutton, both of Rock Hill; goddaughter, Patrice McCrory of Fort Mill; best friend, Kathleen Rivers of Gastonia, N.C.; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces,nephews,other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Hedgepeth may be viewed from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Robinson Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. until time of the service Saturday at the church. The family will receive friends at 718 Carolina Ave., Rock Hill.
