• Season tickets ordered for Northwestern's varsity foootball games can be picked up at the school's athletics office until Friday. Any that are not picked up prior to Friday's 8 p.m. home game against Charlotte Country Day will be avaialble at the will-call window at the gate. for information, call 981-1231.

• The Mid-Carolina Tennis Association is forming to serve York, Lancaster and Chester counties. Nominations for the executive committee are due no later than Aug. 28 for president, vice-president, secretary and treasurer. You must be a member of the United States Tennis Association. Submit name, contact information, position desired, experience and qualifications to: MCTA Nominating Committee, 410 Rainbow Circle, Clover, S.C., 29710 or e-mail yctamxddbls@comporium.net.

• York girls basketball players in grades 8-12 are reminded of the USC position camp on Saturday. The deadline has been extended to Wednesday. Contact coach Blackwell at (803) 684-2336 or pick up an application from the York front office. Cost is $85.

• Carolina Angels tryouts will be held from 3:30-5:30 p.m. Sunday at Harris Street Park in Fort Mill. For more information or directions, call (803) 487-2564.
