ROCK HILL -- Mrs. Julia Glover Robinson, 91, died Thursday, Aug. 23, 2007, at Rock Hill Healthcare.
The funeral service will be 2 p.m. today at Mt. Hebron Baptist Church, with the Rev. Larry L. Robertson officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
She was born on Dec. 23, 1915, the daughter of the late Henry and Mary Glover. Mrs. Robinson was preceded in death by her husband, Alonzo Robinson Sr.; two daughters, Lizzie Beano and Ruby Moore; and two sons, Alonzo Robinson Jr. and Hezekiah Robinson.
Surviving are one daughter, Mary Lee Moore of Baltimore, Md.; two sons, Rev. John E. (Betty) Robinson of Charlotte, N.C., and Charles Z. (Barbara) Robinson of Rock Hill; 19 grandchildren, two of whom she raised, Marcenia Jennings of Rock Hill and Deborah Straite of Charlotte; a host of great-grands and great-great-grands; one sister, Mary Lou Steele of Salisbury, N.C.; one brother, Otis Glover of Rock Hill; two daughters-in-law, Alberta Robinson and Sadie Robinson, both of Rock Hill; one son-in-law, James Thurman of Rock Hill; one brother-in-law, Johnny McKinney of Rock Hill; three sisters-in-law, Janie Knox and Minnie B. Glover, both of Rock Hill and Alberta Robinson of Chicago, Ill.; very special friends, Etta Thelma Brown and her family and Cleveland Welch.
