SMYRNA -- Mrs. Fathie Meller Martin Bolin, 88, of 858 Martin Goldmine Road died Monday, Aug. 27, 2007, at her residence.
A native of Smyrna, S.C., she was the daughter of the late William Casterable Claude Martin and Edna Melinda Pruitt Martin.
She was a seamstress in the textile industry, a life long member of Smyrna Baptist Church, where she had Sunday School perfect attendance for 29 years, and was a member of Blacksburg VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 4941. She was the widow of William Benjamin Bolin.
Surviving are her daughter, Bennie Childers of Smyrna; her brother, Joseph F. Martin of Smyrna; her sisters, Eula Martin of Gaffney, Gladys Martin of Blacksburg, Fannie Doster and Pat Humphries of Smyrna; and special nieces and nephews, Carolyn Martin of Hickory Grove, Dean Martin of Smyrna, Kenneth Hull of York, Diane Jenkins of Blacksburg, Mike Martin of Smyrna, Jennifer Dedmond of Clover, Ashley Jenkins of Blacksburg and Angela and Michael Martin of Smyrna.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Casterable Martin and Colonel Martin; sisters, Leona Crocker, Julia Ann Martin, Della Bolin, Ruby Martin and Eunice Hardin.
Visitation will be from 6 until 8 tonight at Gordon Mortuary.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Smyrna Baptist Church, with the Revs. Benny Davis, Shannon Faulkner and Sidney Weaver and Dr. Tom Sees officiating. Pallbearers will be Travis Hull, Kenny Hull, Terry Ramsey, Jody Doster, Teddy Doster and Johnny Walker. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will be at Smyrna Baptist Church Cemetery
