Rudolph Crawford

CHARLOTTE -- Mr. Rudolph "Rudy" Edward Crawford died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2007, at University Hospital.

The funeral service will be noon Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007, at Union Ezell Methodist Church in Fort Lawn, S.C., with the Rev. Norris Long officiating. The Rev. Mark Johnson will deliver the eulogy. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

A native of Chester, S.C., he was the son of the late James "Bub" Crawford and Margaret Crawford. He was educated in the public schools of Chester County.

Mr. Crawford is survived by his stepmother, Julia Wallace Crawford of Rock Hill; four sisters, Margaret A. Crawford, Terri Crawford and Lori (Anthony) McLaughlin, all of Rock Hill and Juliet (Heyward) Davis of Chester, S.C.; eight brothers, James Crawford Jr. of Charlotte, N.C., Willie Crawford and Jerry (Pamela) Crawford, both of Lancaster, Rickie Crawford, Robbie Crawford, Anthony Crawford, David Crawford and James Wallace, all of Rock Hill; five aunts, Hattie Hinton, Josephine (Henry) Watts, Joan (Kenneth) McDonald, all of Charlotte and Galisher Kimbrell of Indiannapolis, Ind.; one uncle, David Crawford of Charlotte; 14 nieces; 10 nephews; other relatives and friends.

Mr. Crawford may be viewed from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Robinson Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. until time of the service Saturday at the church. The family will receive friends at the home of his sister, Margaret A. Crawford, 2671 Greenwood Road, Rock Hill.
