ROCK HILL -- Mr. Kenneth A. Boulware, 84, of 784 Springdale Road, died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007, at his residence.
Mr. Boulware was born in Rock Hill August 16, 1923, a son of the late James and Grady Louise Boulware. He worked in the textile industry and retired from Bass Funeral Home after 14 years. He was a decorated combat infantry Army veteran of World War II, with the 66th infantry division in Europe and was a member of Masonic Lodge #385. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Jean Boulware and a son, Jimmy Boulware.
Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Lucy Lemonds Boulware; two sons, Ronald Boulware and wife, Sandy of Rock Hill and Kenneth Boulware Jr. and wife, Pat of Rock Hill; daughter, Kathy Davis and husband, Bill of Rock Hill; sister, Carrie Green and husband, J.C. of Rock Hill; five grandchildren, Jon Nelson and wife, Jennifer of Greenville, S.C., Carrie Neal and husband, Robby of Rock Hill, Ronald "Bo" Boulware Jr. and wife, Becca of Kuwait, Meghan Switzer and husband, Chris of Rock Hill and Dana Boulware of Rock Hill; and six great-grandchildren, Emily and Mary Katherine Nelson of Greenville, Molly Neal of Rock Hill, Chullain and Victoria Boulware of Kuwait and Jackson Switzer of Rock Hill.
Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home. The funeral will be 3 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Laurelwood Cemetery, with full Masonic Rites and full Military Honors.
