ROCK HILL -- Mr. Richard Dixon Roberts, 70, of 5392 Woodside Drive died on Monday, Sept. 10, 2007, at Piedmont Medical Center.
A memorial service will be 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14, 2007, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, with the Rev. Carolyn Gesche officiating.
A native of Rock Hill, Mr. Roberts was the son of the late Herbert D. Roberts and the late Ada Pruitt Roberts. He was of the Baptist faith. He was in ROTC during high school and a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was owner/operator of Georgia Gem Company in Atlanta, Ga., for 20 years.
Mr. Roberts is survived by his wife, Carol Yvonne Camp Roberts of the home; his son, James Dixon Roberts and wife, Hettieann of Collierville, Tenn.; his daughter, Debra Lynn Nelson and husband, Ted of Marion, Ark.; five grandchildren, JoAnna Marie Pennington, Jerry Michael Pennington, Logan Spendlove, Kelly Spendlove and Greta Roberts; and one great-grandson, Jonathon Richard Pennington.

The family will receive friends following the service.
