YORK -- Mr. Franklin Edward "F.E." Adams of York, S.C. died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007, at Agape Rehabilitation and Community Hospice in Rock Hill, S.C.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23, 2007, at New Home AME Zion Church, with Pastor Charles Darden Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. He will lie in state at the church on Sunday from 2 p.m. until the hour of the service.
A native of York, S.C. he was the son of the late Isaiah Adams and the late Sally Crosby Adams. He was a member of New Home AME Zion Church. He worked for Snowball Iron in Gastonia, N.C.
He is survived by his wife, Margurite Minter Adams; seven sons, Tommy Lee Adams, Willie (Pnewona) Adams, Bobby J. Adams, Eugene (Lisa) Adams, Sammie Lee (Betty) Adams, Kenneth Adams, and Tommy Lee (Gwendolyn) Adams Jr.; six daughters, Pauline Mitchell, Louella Adams, Ora Lee Adams, Shirley (Tony) McCoy, Ondaria Adams and Yowonda Adams; four brothers; seven sisters, 24 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the home, 3275 Dr. Nichols Road, York.
Mr. Adams may be viewed at the funeral home today, Sept. 22, 2007, from 6 to 8 p.m.
