CHESTER - Mrs. Martha McKnight Voltz, age 81, died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007, at Avonte Nursing and Rehab Center in Charlotte.
A graveside service will be 2 p.m. today at Hickory Grove Cemetery, with Rev. Melvin Pressley officiating.
Mrs. Volts was born in Franklin, N.C., Jan. 24, 1926, a daughter of the late Moffatt Mason and Elizabeth Mitchell McKnight. She attended Harding High School in Charlotte, and was a homemaker.
Surviving are two sons, Charles T. Voltz of Miami, Fla. and Moffatt J. Voltz of Locust, N.C.; three daughters, Mary Bishop of Warrior, Ala., Martha Bramble of Chester and Wonda Edwards of Stuart, Va.; 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; one sister, Mary Ditter and one brother, William McKnight, both of Charlotte.
