VAN NUYS, Calif. -- Kenneth Williams "Ken" Carroll died Aug. 31, 2007, at his home in Van Nuys, Calif. Ken was born April 7, 1966 in Nashville, Tenn. Ken was the son of Harlan R. Carroll of Charlotte, N.C., and Shirley W. Carroll of Rock Hill, S.C. He graduated from Winthrop University and was active in student life, including Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. Ken enjoyed a successful career in health care administration. Most recently, he was manager of the Lake Balboa Care Center and served in this capacity at several other health care facilities in the San Fernando Valley as well as in facilities in Ohio, Florida, Georgia and South Carolina. A committed Christian, Ken was an inspiration and source of encouragement to all who met him.
In addition to his parents, Ken is survived by his brothers, Russ Carroll of Charlotte and Rob Carroll of Lancaster, S.C.; and two nieces and a nephew.
A celebration of Ken's life will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Rock Hill, S.C., on Monday, Oct. 8 at 4 p.m.
