MCCONNELLS -- Miss Bessie Joysella Wilson, 45, of 1393 West McConnells Highway died, Monday, Oct. 1, 2007, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, S.C. Born November 17, 1961 in York County, she was the third child and first daughter of Annie Mae Wilson.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in McConnells, S.C., with the Rev. Anthony Johnson officiating and the Rev. Johnny Burris will deliver the eulogy Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Bessie was educated at York Comprehensive High School in York, S.C. She was employed for 20 years as a Pin Operator at Pharr Yarns in Clover, S.C.
Bessie was preceded in death by her father, Mr. Robert Rhodes.

Wilson of York and Phyllis Douglas of Rock Hill; three stepsisters, Delisa Redford, Regina Burris and Yvonne Cherry, all of Rock Hill; one stepbrother, Everette Burris of McConnells; adopted sister, Nancy R. Brown of McConnells; two godchildren, James Willie (Bug) Rhodes of York and Katura Sherer of York; two aunts, Bessie Mobley of Georgetown, S.C., and Roberta Wilson of Bronx, N.Y.; one uncle, Rev. Anderson D. Wilson (Linda) of Spartanburg, S.C.; one great aunt, Annie B. Wright of Lowell, N.C.; 16 nieces; six nephews,; seven great-nieces; seven great-nephews; two very special friends, Terry Sherer and Linda Mackins; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held at the Chapel of Wright Funeral Home in York, today, Oct. 5, 2007, from 6 until 8 p.m. The family will receive friends at other times at the home of Rev. and Mrs. Johnny Burris, 3775 Chester Highway, McConnells.
