ANDERSON -- Dorothy Grace McLeese Ashworth, 86, formerly of Tribble Street, died Friday, Oct. 12, 2007, at Gaston Memorial Hospital in Gastonia, N.C.
Born in April 9, 1921 in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late Alonzo and Carrie Eskew McLeese. She was retired from Singer Company and was a former member of Garner Memorial Baptist Church in Anderson. In recent years she had moved to Clover, to live with her daughter and became a member of Faith Baptist Church.
Surviving are her daughter, Peggy Wooten of Clover; five grandchildren, Seana Klokocnik, Jamie Ashworth, Kevin Carithers, Reed Lyles and Timothy Lyles; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Tim and Ned Ashworth.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m. today at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, with Dr. Jack Couch and Rev. Tommy Hope officiating.
