Harvey Ware

ROCK HILL -- Mr. Harvey Lee Ware, of 456 Kimbrell St., died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2007, at his home.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, 2007, at King Funeral Home -Chris King Memorial Chapel, 331 East Main St., Rock Hill, S.C., with the Rev. Walter B. White officiating and the Revs. William Dargan and J. Thomas Baber assisting. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park in Rock Hill.

A native of Chester County, S.C., he was the son of the late Otis Ware and the late Blanche Feaster Ware Young. He was educated in the York County Public School and was a member of Boyd Hill Baptist Church. He was a U.S. retired Army veteran serving tours in the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War. He was retired from Bank of America as a Bank Carrier.

He is survived by Mattie D. Ware; his two sons, Stanley Ware and Lafayette (Gloria) Ware, both of Rock Hill; two grandchildren, Erica N. (Gary) Odom and Delvin K. Ware; and two faithful aunts, Betty Feaster and Christine Sapp. He was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Lee Ware Strong.

Family will receive friends at the home of his son and daughter-in-law, Lafayette and Gloria Ware, 1773 Sliver Stream Drive, Rock Hill.
