SHELBY, N.C. -- Josephine Standridge, 72, of Dellinger Road died Oct. 15, 2007, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. She was born in Chester, S. C.
Jo retired from PPG after 42 years of service and was a member of Zoar Baptist Church. Jo enjoyed square dancing, playing softball on the Golden Girls team, she loved to shop and spend time at Myrtle Beach, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her very special time of the year was the Christmas season.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William T. and Evelyn Roberts Conley; brothers, Bill Conley and George Conley; and sister, Pat Conley Bolton.
Surviving are sons, William " Billy" G. Standridge and wife, Kathy of Shelby and Robert "Bobby" E. Standridge and wife, Vickie of N. Myrtle Beach, S.C.; grandchildren, Stacey S. Walker and husband, Travis, Deedra S. Moore and friend, Jason Dimsdale, Jody S. Beam and husband Jason and Kaila Standridge; great-grandchildren, Izabell, Taylor, Alex, Alyssa, Mackenzie, Melana, Gracie, Baylee and Carson; and very special friend, Wayne Walker.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. l8, 2007, at Zoar Baptist Church. Burial will be at Cleveland Memorial Park. Dr. Marvin Gobble and Dr. John W. Ware will officiate.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Oct. 17, 2007, at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home & Crematory.
