Ruby Quinn

CLOVER -- Ruby McElroy Quinn, 81, formerly of Hilltop Lane, Clover, died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2007 at White Oak Manor, York.

The funeral will be 4 p.m. Tuesday at Clover A.R.P. Church, with the Rev. Evan English and Rev. Dr. Tony Grant officiating. Burial will be at Bethany A.R.P. Church cemetery.

Mrs. Quinn was born September 8, 1926 in York County, S.C., to the late Emmett Newman and Mary Engle McElroy. After 30 years of service she retired from Kirsh Department Store in Clover and was a life long active member of the Clover A.R.P. Church. She was preceded in death by her husband William Hardin Quinn and two brothers, William Emmett McElroy and Bobby Joe McElroy.

Survivors are her two sisters, Betty M. Hines of Clover and Frances M. Nivens of York; one sister-in-law, Joyce W. McElroy of York; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at M.L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home, Clover, and other times at the home of her sister, Betty Hines, 207 Hilltop Lane, Clover.
