FORT MILL -- Mr. George Cletus Crump, 89, of 407 Williamson St., died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2007, at his home.
Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at Unity Cemetery, with Rev. Loma Wheeler officiating.
A native of Union County N.C., Mr. Crump is the son of the late George Washington and Flossie Isabell Wheeler Crump. He was retired from Springs Mills after 37 years of service and was an avid fisherman and former member of the Fort Mill Rescue Squad and Fire Department. He also loved gardening.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Mary Lee Craig Crump of Fort Mill; his sons, George Eugene Crump of Columbia and Terry Joe Crump and wife, Julie of Catawba; brothers, Tommy Crump of Lancaster and Olin Crump of Denver, Colo.; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Yvonne Crump.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at the Whitesell Funeral Home of Rock Hill.
