ROCK HILL -- Mr. Odell Duncan Sr., 86, of 716 Green St. died Oct. 28, 2007, at Piedmont Medical Center. He was born Sept. 25, 1921, in Heath Springs, S.C., to the late Allen Duncan and Anna Duncan. He attended Lancaster and York County public schools, was a WWII veteran, worked for White Printing Company and was affiliated with First Calvary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by daughters, Betty Jean Hutchison and Melissa Byers; brother, Herman Duncan; and sisters, Mary Bell Duncan, Cara Bell Campbell and Eva Dell Wilson.
He leaves to cherish his memories wife, Johnnie Mae Duncan of Rock Hill, S.C.; son, Odell Duncan Jr. of Rock Hill; daughters, Dorothy Duncan, Patricia Duncan, Jacqueline Smith (Melvin) and Alice Duncan, all of Rock Hill; sisters, Lucy Barnett of Rock Hill and Lula Butler of Hyattsville, Md.; 21 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at First Calvary Baptist Church. The funeral will be 2 p.m. at the church, with Dr. L.L. Hancock officiating. Burial will be at Barber Memorial Cemetery.
