FORT MILL -- Mrs. Dorothy Lee Cooke, 80, died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2007, at Mecklenburg Health Care Center in Charlotte, N.C., where she was a resident.
The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Cooke will be 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 3, at Hartley Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. Tom Patterson. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery, Highway 161, Rock Hill.
Mrs. Cooke was born June 26, 1927, in Kinston, N.C., the daughter of the late Wade Hampton Tilghman and Ruby Clark Tilghman. She was first married to the late Herman Lee and second to the late Allan Cooke. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Cooke was survived by a son, Robert Lee and his wife, Juanita of Lancaster; two daughters, Patricia Anne Faulkner and her husband, Edward of Lancaster and Betty Jean Outten and her companion, James Carter of Fort Mill; a brother, Bill Tilghman of Kinston, N.C.; five sisters, Delia Alcock, Ruby Turner Jackson, Hilda Banks and Nettie Tilghman all of Kinston and Shirley Clark of Eden, N.C.; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

The family of Mrs. Cooke will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday at Hartley Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Highway, Lancaster, SC.
