EDGEMOOR -- Mrs. Edna Gaston Dunham, 83, passed away Monday, Oct. 29, 2007. She was the widow of the late Melvin "Shep" Dunham Sr.
The funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, 2007, at 1 p.m. at Mount Vernon AME Zion Church in Fort Lawn, S.C., with the Rev. J.E. Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Surviving are four daughters, Bernice Williams of Charlotte, N.C., Jeanette White of Rock Hill, S.C., and Annette D. Feaster and Sadie Blackmon, both of Edgemoor, S.C.; three sons, James F. (Mary) Dunham of Edgemoor, James T. (Rosetta) Dunham of Rock Hill and Melvin (Debbie) Dunham Jr. of Chester, S.C.; one adopted daughter, Carrie (Donald) Waiters of Heath Springs, S.C.; devoted stepdaughter, Mary Gordon of Edgemoor; special niece, Louise Howze of Edgemoor; 27 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today at King's Funeral Home, 135 Cemetery St., Chester. The body will be placed in the church at noon Saturday.
