CLOVER -- Helen Adams Deaton, 91, of 203 Clinton Ave., died Friday, Nov. 2, 2007, at Gaston Memorial Hospital.
She was a native of Polk County, Tenn., and was the daughter of the late Samuel W. and Molly Harper Bowman.
A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Gaston Memorial Park, with the Rev. Larry Jenkins and the Rev. Michael Walker officiating.
Visitation will be one hour prior to service Sunday at McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia, 700 South New Hope Road, Gastonia, N.C.

She was a member of United Baptist Church, Gastonia, N.C.
Surviving are sons, Samuel L. Adams and wife, Elsie of Clover, S.C., and Gerald N. (Jerry) Adams and wife, Anne of Clover, S.C.; daughters, Jane A. Robinson and husband, Hugh of Clover, S.C., and Eleanor A. Jenkins and husband, Larry of Greenwood, S.C.; brother, Alfred S. Bowman of Midland, N.C.; sister, Elsie B. Wilson of Charlotte, N.C.; grandchildren, Bill Adams of Charlotte, Sam Adams, Jean Dickson of Rock Hill, S.C., Kim Killian, Mary Helen Allen, Mike Adams of Clover, S.C., Linda Swittenberg of Lexington, S.C., and Dan Robinson of Columbia, S.C.; great-grandchildren, Sarah Swittenberg, Ashley Killian, Laura Goddard, Kyle Adams, Trey and Troy Adams, Brenna and Austin Dickson, Stanton and Sidney Adams and Eli and Adam Adams; and great-great-grandson, Noah Goddard. She was preceded in death by her parents and husbands, Elias Hope Adams and Odis William Deaton
