Deer hunting remains the major focus of most local sportsmen, although this weekend's change from Daylight Savings Time will mean that fewer folks have a chance to rush from work to a deer stand. On the other hand, it means you can leave a stand at dark and still sit down to supper at a reasonable hour. It seems there is a good likelihood of colder weather in the coming days, and such changes are always a good time to be afield. For those who prefer small game, we've got plenty of squirrels and, thanks to a paucity of mast, they have to move about a great deal.
