INDIAN LAND -- Mrs. Agnes White Yarborough, age 82, of Indian Land, died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2007 at Legacy Heights in Charlotte.
Born Dec. 7, 1924 in Lancaster County, Mrs. Yarborough was the daughter of the late Walter Evans White and Bertha Caskey White, and was the wife of the late Floyd Hamiter Yarborough. Mr. and Mrs. Yarborough owned Yarborough Tractors in Indian Land. She was a member of Belair United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Yarborough is survived by three daughters, Ann Y. Addis and her husband, Tom of Charlotte, Carol Y. Ostendorff of Fort Mill and Kay Y. Sloan and her husband, Ben, of Chapin; seven grandchildren, Timothy Howie and his wife, Cindy of Charlotte, Sarah Sloan Batson and her husband, Ryan of Columbia, Anna Ostendorff of Blowing Rock, N.C., Emily Ostendorff of Charleston, Rachel Ostendorff of Fort Mill and Rebekah Sloan and John Sloan of Chapin; three great-grandsons, Andrew, Evan and Chase Howie, all of Charlotte; a brother, Elliot White and his wife, Kathryn of Lancaster; two sisters, Mary Carnes of Lancaster and Becky Hendrix and her husband, Walt of Waynesboro, Va.; a brother-in-law, Harry Joe Montgomery of Lancaster; and a sister-in-law, Ellen White of Lancaster. Mrs. Yarborough was predeceased by a brother, Tommy White and a sister, Dorothy Montgomery.
