CLOVER -- Mr. Alfred Williams Jr. of 2085 Greenleaf Road entered the gentle door of rest, Friday, Nov. 8, 2007, at his residence. Mr. Williams was born Sept. 1, 1918 in York County and was the son of the late Alfred and Emma Rawlinson Williams.
Mr. Williams was converted and joined Galilee Baptist Church at an early age and carried these Christian pursuits he learned there throughout his life. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of White Stone Masonic Lodge 362. He was a loving person and will be missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be today, Nov. 14, 2007, 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Wright Funeral Home, with Dr. Osbey Roddey officiating and the Rev. Frederick Yebuah delivering the eulogy. Burial will be at Langrum Branch Baptist Church in York, S.C.
Survivors include a special friend, Mrs. Novis Walker of Clover, S.C.; three brothers, Mr. Adam Williams Sr. of Lancaster, S.C., Mr. John Williams and Mr. Sam Finley Williams of Charlotte, N.C.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
