ROCK HILL -- Mr. Tommy "Ross" Rorie Jr., 50, of 922 Beverly Drive, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2007, at his home.
Mr. Rorie was a native of Durham, N.C., and the son of Tommy Ross Rorie Sr. and Margaret Patricia Smith Rorie. He was a member of Morningstar Christian Fellowship in Fort Mill, S.C. A graduate of UNC-Pembroke, Mr. Rorie earned a Bachelor's degree in Political Science. He was employed with US Food Service. Mr. Rorie was an avid Blue Devils fan and had a wonderful sense of humor. Most importantly, he spent his spare time trying to win souls for Christ.
A loving husband and father, Mr. Rorie is survived by his wife, Deborah Gagan Rorie of the home; their daughter, Katherine Elizabeth Rorie of the home; his parents, Pat Rorie of Landsdale, Pa., and Tom and Arlene Rorie of Fort Mill, S.C.; his brother, Craig Rorie of Richboro, Pa.; and sister, Beth Page of Shelby, N.C.
A celebration of his life will be held Friday, Nov. 16, 2007, at 2 p.m. at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, with the Rev. Jason Earnhardt officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Nov. 15, 2007, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
