YORK -- Mr. Clyde Davis, 49, of 13 Turner Ave., York, S.C., died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2007, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, S.C.
At an early age, he attended Clinton Chapel AME Zion Church in York. He was a 1976 graduate of York Comprehensive High School and was an avid sports fan.
He was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Luke Davis Sr. and one brother, Mr. Willie James Davis.
Funeral services will be held today, Nov. 14, 2007, 3 p.m., at Clinton Chapel AME Zion Church in York, with the Rev. Grady Sharps officiating. Burial will be in Uniondale Cemetery in York.

Left to cherish fond memories are his mother, Mrs. Eula Mae Davis of York; one daughter, Ms. Chermaine Moore of Fort Mill, S.C.; two sons, Mr. Charles Pendergrass (Nia) and Chavayee McClain of Rock Hill; one sister, Mae Ruth D. Thompson (James) of Rock Hill; two brothers, Andrew Phillip Davis of York and Luke Davis of York; five grandchildren, Carey Jones and Jehyah McKnight of Fort Mill, Chardarius Brown and Lewaquis Neely of Rock Hill and Charquavion Pendergrass of York; four aunts, Mrs. Ruth E. Thompson, Mrs. Margaret Thompson and Mrs. Beatrice Stewart, all of York and Mrs. Clara Stewart of Windsor, N.C.; three nieces, Ms. Mia R. Thompson of Germantown, Md., Mrs. Shamva Moore (Stuart) of Charlotte, N.C., and Mrs. Ranata Hunter (Timothy) of Phoenix, Ariz.; two nephews, Mr. James S. Thompson of Rock Hill and Mr. Raheem Ramsey of Williamsburg, Va.; and a host of cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Association and the Clinton Chapel AME Zion Church Building Fund.
