• Register for the Winthrop Father & Son Pitching Camps. Pitching coach Kyle DiEduardo will lecture and instruct on mechanics, drill work, fielding practice, how to throw a bullpen, offspeed pitches, arm care and individualized video analysis. Each camp lasts three days. Dates are Friday-Sunday, Nov. 30-Dec. 2 and Dec. 7-9. Cost is $100. For more information or to register go to

• The Stallion Booster Club will be sponsoring a chartered bus for Friday's playoff game at Berkeley. Cost is $10 for students and $20 for adults. Game ticket is not included. Bus will leave South Pointe at 4 p.m. from the student parking lot. Seventy seats are available. Bus will stop for a quick meal (not included in price). • The York Comprehensive High School Athletic Department will hold Meet The Cougars night for winter sports at 6 p.m. today in the YCHS gym. Basketball and wrestling athletes from middle school/junior high, JV and high school will be recognized at the free event.

• Registrations for Upward Basketball and Cheerleading are through Dec. 13 for ages K-5 through sixth grade. Evaluations will begin in December. Games begin in January in the gym of Calvary Baptist Church. For more information call (803) 328-6632.

• The Bank of York Girls' Basketball Preseason Tournament will be held Monday-Tuesday at York Comprehensive High School. Broome, Buford, York and Chesnee will play. Cost is $5 per person.

• Tickets for Chester's third-round Class AAA playoff game hosting Daniel Friday are on sale at the school's main office and Black's Drug Store in Chester.
