Valeta H. Lathan

GREAT FALLS -- Mrs. Estie Valeta Huffstetler Lathan, of 31 Canal St., died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2007, at White Oak Manor in Rock Hill. She was 69.

A graveside funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Greenlawn Cemetery with Rev. Grover Johnson and Rev. Lee Dye officiating.

Mrs. Lathan was born in Chester, a daughter of the late Vernie Lee and Lula Mae Ramey Huffstetler. She attended the schools of Chester County and was retired from J.P. Stevens Company. She was a member of Second Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband, Frank Lathan; daughter, Debra May and husband, Phil of Great Falls; daughter-in-law, Teresa Neal Lathan of Lancaster; and two grandchildren, Keli Lathan of Lancaster and Josh May of Great Falls. She was preceded in death by a son, Bruce Lathan and a brother, Vernie Huffstetler Jr.

The family will receive friends from 10 until 10:45 a.m. Saturday at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home.
