ROCK HILL -- Mr. Willie "Sonny" Hoyles Jr., 62, of 1223 Green Ext., Rock Hill, died Nov. 13, 2007, at Piedmont Medical Center.
He was born Dec. 30, 1944, in York County, to the late Willie Hoyles Jr. and Jesse Hoyles. He attended York County Public Schools. He worked at Rock Hill Printing and Finishing Company and Blue Bird Taxi Cab and retired from Winthrop College. He joined Nazareth Baptist Church.
Mr. Hoyles is survived by his wife, Georgia Hoyles of the home; daughters, Pamela Hoyles of Raleigh, N.C., and Kimberly H. Kirk of Rock Hill; brother, Bobby Hoyles (Patricia); sisters, Roberta Robertson of Jersey City, N.J., Rosa Ann Lytle, Bettye Ruth, Barbara Hoyles, all of Rock Hill; one grandson, Gabreon Kirk; one uncle, Robert McCullough of Rock Hill; three aunts, Janice Hudge, Sarah Meeks (Theodore) and Dorothy McCullough, all of Rock Hill; one great aunt, Martha C. Page of Rock Hill; two stepdaughters, Aretha (Mark) Smith of Rock Hill and Sandra Jennings of Atlanta, Ga.; three stepsons, Willie R. Hinton, Micheal (Marcenia) Jennings and James (Vicky) Jennings; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Parker Funeral Home. The funeral will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Nazareth Baptist Church, with the Rev. J.T. Barber officiating, the Rev. John McCoy delivering the eulogy and the Rev. Hazel Hill assisting. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
