Mason Hensley

NINETY SIX -- Mason Gene Hensley, 30, of 214 Draper St., husband of Ruselle Thompson Hensley, died Nov. 21, 2007, at his home.

Born April 11, 1977 in Columbia, he was a son of Curtis A. and Vicky Moyer Hensley. He attended Piedmont Technical College and formerly served in the S.C. National Guard. Mason was a contract driver for JB Hunt Trucking Company.

A member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, he was also a member of Greenwood Masonic Lodge 91 and a member of the Mary Pinckney Ouzts Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Surviving in addition to his wife of the home and parents of Greenwood are a daughter, Idella Hensley of the home; two brothers, William A. "Bill" Hensley of Gilbert and Curtis A. Hensley Jr. of Greenwood, currently serving in Iraq; maternal grandparents, Russell and Ethelyn Jones Moyer of Gilbert; paternal grandfather, Boyd Hensley of Rock Hill; four nephews; and a niece. Mason was predeceased by his paternal grandmother, Edith Calvert Hensley.

Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday from the Blyth Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Dr. John L. Setzler officiating. Masonic Rites will immediately follow the service.

The family is at the home of Curtis and Vicky Hensley, 124 Stratford Road, Druid Hills in Greenwood and will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday afternoon.
