ROCK HILL -- Mr. Sam Osborne, 85, of 1616 Mount Gallant Road, died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2007, at Agape Rehabilitation of Rock Hill.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., today at First Baptist Church of Fort Mill, with the Revs. Ralph Riley and Benny Wade officiating. Burial will be at Philadelphia United Methodist Church at a later date.
A native of Union County, N.C., Mr. Osborne was a son of the late Price Franklin Osborne and the late Alice McManus Osborne.
Mr. Osborne retired from Roadway Express trucking company. He was a U.S. Marine Veteran of WW II and the Korean War. He was a member of the Catawba Lodge #65 of Fort Mill and a member of First Baptist Church of Fort Mill.
Surviving are his wife, Sarah Hucks Osborne; two sons, Sam Franklin Osborne of Suwane, Ga. and Joseph William Osborne of Rock Hill; one sister, Sadie McCall of Fort Mill; five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Jim Osborne, Grady Osborne, Neal Osborne and Marshall Osborne.
