ROCK HILL -- Margaret Moore Babb, 87, formerly of 1059 Woodland Drive, passed away Monday, Nov. 26, 2007, at Piedmont Medical Center.
A native of Laurens County, Mrs. Babb was born March 13, 1920, a daughter of the late John Walter and Lillian Anderson Moore. She attended Lander University, was a former member of Oakland Baptist Church, was currently a member of The First Presbyterian Church and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents Mrs. Babb was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Babb.
Surviving are her daughter, Elaine Babb Blackmon of Rock Hill; four grandchildren, Allison B. McQueen and husband, Dan of Rock Hill, Lisa B. McKaughan and husband, Will of Rock Hill, Will Blackmon and wife, Leah of Newberry and Lee Blackmon of Walterboro; also nine great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home and other times at the home of the granddaughter, Allison and Dan McQueen, where her daughter, Elaine B. Blackmon resides, 1624 Oak Court, Rock Hill.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. John Pruitt officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Park.
