LAURENS -- Eva White Pearce, 98, formerly of Chester, S.C., and Columbia, S.C., died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2007, at Martha Franks Baptist Retirement Center, Laurens, S.C.
A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Evergreen Cemetery, Chester, with Dr. Russell Dean officiating.
Mrs. Pearce was a daughter of the late James William and Mary Anna Brakefield White. She was a graduate of Chester High School and Winthrop College. She was an administrative assistant for the U.S. District Attorney's Office in Columbia and a member of Laurens First Baptist Church. She was the widow of Louis R. Pearce.
Surviving are one son, Talbert Pearce and his wife, Bonnie of Greenville, S.C.; one daughter, Barbara P. Murphy of N. Augusta, S.C.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 1:45 p.m. Saturday at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie St., Chester.
