FORT MILL -- Mr. Woodrow W. Culp, 92, of Fort Mill, died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2007, at his home.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007, at Flint Hill Baptist Church, with Dr. Dan Griffin officiating and the Rev. Chris Autry assisting. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Born in Fort Mill, Mr. Culp was a son of the late William Lloyd Culp and Annie Lee Cranford Culp. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in World War II during the European Theatre and participated in all major battles including the D-Day invasion at Normandy with the 1st Infantry Division. Mr. Culp was a self-employed farmer, grocer and meat cutter and manager of Springs Farms. He was an active member of Flint Hill Baptist Church, where he was a deacon and served on various committees as well as the chairman of the Cemetery Endowment Committee. Mr. Culp was a former volunteer fireman in Fort Mill and was on the organizing board of directors for Flint Hill Fire Department and was on the York County Co-Op Board of Directors and various other farm boards in York County. He was the widower of Catherine Milholen Culp.
Surviving are two sons, Woody Culp and his wife, Anita of Westminster and John Culp and his wife, Marta of Fort Mill; his sister, Sara Helms of Waxhaw, N.C.; two grandchildren, David and Matt Culp, both of Fort Mill; and two great-grandchildren, Catherine and William Culp.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, 2007, at Flint Hill Baptist Church and other times at the home.
