TEGA CAY -- Mr. Roger William Fuller, 80, of Tega Cay, died Friday, Dec. 14, 2007, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2007, at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, with Father John Giuliani officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the Memorial Mass.
Born in Franklin, Neb., Mr. Fuller was a son of the late William H. Fuller and Velma Agnes Barry Fuller. He was a retired U.S. Navy officer and served on the first crew of the USS Nautilus. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post No. 9138, a founding member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, and a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus. He also helped to found St. Brendan's Catholic Church in South Brunswick, N.C. He was the widower of Stefania Theresa Minta Fuller.
Survivors include his daughter, Jeannette Kelly of South Windsor, Conn.; two sons, William Roger Fuller of Ada, Ohio and James Thomas Fuller of Liberty, S.C.; two brothers, Kenneth Fuller of Alturas, Calif. and Hank Fuller of Vancouver, Wash.; five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 292 Munn Road, Fort Mill, SC 29715.
