CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Felencia Deborah Nelson (Lisa) was born May 16, 1956 in York County, South Carolina to Marion J. Nelson and the late Samuel A. Nelson. She departed this life peacefully in her sleep Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007.
Lisa grew up in Rock Hill, S.C. and received her education in York County school systems and later attended York Technical College. She worked as a supervisor for Lance, Inc. for over 25 years where she was well loved by management as well as employees. She attended Flint Hill Baptist Church and served as an active member until the Lord called her home. She was a phenomenal woman and she will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her mother, Marion Nelson of Rock Hill; daughter, LaShanda Brice (Adrian) of Charlotte; two grandchildren, Adrian Jr. and Zion Brice of Charlotte; two sisters, Willie Crosby (Allen) and Annie Brice (Frankie) both of Rock Hill, S.C.; six brothers, James Nelson (Annie) of Charlotte, David Nelson (Sandra) of Baltimore, Md., Larry Nelson of Rock Hill, S.C., Charles Nelson of Philadelphia, Pa., Tim Nelson of Rock Hill, S.C., John Nelson (Sheila) of Rock Hill, S.C.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 31, 2007, at Parker Funeral Home. The funeral will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2008, at Flint Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Dwayne Brown delivering the eulogy. Parker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
