JACKSON, Miss. -- Donald Franklin "Coffee Pot" Rabon was born Oct. 20, 1962, in Rock Hill S.C., to the late Johnnie and Louise Rabon. After residing in Jackson County for more than 20 years, he made his final transition on Jan. 21, 2008, in Jackson, Miss. Donnie was of the Baptist faith. Donnie was a truck driver for more than 20 years. He was last employed with Longs Transfer. He was involved with the Jackson County Flotilla and coached little league football and baseball several years.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, Johnnie and Louise Rabon; one brother, Lawrence Rabon; and a nephew, Jeffery Rains.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Darlene; two sons, Donnie (Christina) Rabon and Christopher "Chris" Rabon; one granddaughter, MaKinze "Toot" Rabon; one great-niece, Kyla Alexiz Smith; mother and father-in-law, Ronald and Betty Long; and two sisters-in-law, Vickie (Jason) Hines, all of Pascagoula, Miss., and Sheryl (Glenn) Bohannon of Hazlehurst, Ga.; five sisters, Loretta Raines (Rick), Patricia (Jimmy) Massey, Helen Gibson, Gloria "Tiny" Stevens and Vanessa (Lynn) Cain; seven brothers, John Rabon, James "Jimmy" Rabon, Russell " Rusty" (Lynn) Rabon, Ernie (Tina) Rabon, Johnny Rabon, Ray Gibson and James Gibson, all of Rock Hill, S.C.; and a host of nephews, nieces, family and friends.
