CAMDEN -- Mrs. Aileen Roddey Knox, 81, of 1915 Lakeshore Road died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2008, at Providence Hospital in Columbia, S.C.
A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, at Chester Memorial Gardens in Chester, S.C., with Dr. Dwight Pearson officiating.
Born in Chester on June 20, 1926, Mrs. Knox was a daughter of the late Belven B. and Juanita Dunn Roddey. She was a homemaker and a member of Flint Hill Baptist Church in Camden, S.C., and a graduate of Chester High School.
Surviving are one son, Rick Franklin of Camden; two daughters, Suzanne Combs (Eddie) of Gilbert, S.C.; Harriette McGee (Mike) of Vero Beach, Fla.; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three brothers, B.B. Roddey Jr. of Fort Lawn, S.C., Harry Roddey of Lancaster, S.C., Carlisle Roddey of Chester; one sister, Bernice Miller of Chester and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, W.J. "Bill" Knox and a sister, Eloise Bagley.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. Thursday at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie St., Chester, SC 29706.
