CHESTER -- Mr. William Wallace English, 86, of 518 West White St. died Friday, Feb. 1, 2008, at Chester Regional Medical Center.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Leeds Baptist Church, with the Rev. Mike Black and the Rev. Dale Roddey officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Born in Chester County, S.C., Mr. English was a son of the late Wallace English and Geneva (Wood) English. He was a retired cattle farmer and a member of Leeds Baptist Church. He attended Chester County Schools and was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII.

Surviving are his wife, Lula T. English; one daughter, Genise E. Self (Michael) of Winnsboro, SC; one granddaughter, Casey Self of Winnsboro, S.C.; two stepdaughters, Myra W. Maloney of Carlisle, S.C., and Shirley W. Nance of Blackstock, S.C.; one stepson, Clarence "Cooney" Wishert of Rock Hill, S.C.; four stepgrandchildren, Travis Maloney of Carlisle, S.C., Tammy Clark of Blackstock, S.C., Lisa Kennedy of Chester and Kelly Foster of Columbia, S.C .;and five stepgreat-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie St., Chester, S.C.
