ROCK HILL -- Mr. James "Jim" Thomas Fudge, 78, of 4964 Harmony Church Road, passed away Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008, at the Agape Hospice.
Born February 16, 1929 in Edgemoor to the late William F. and Margaret Orr Fudge, Mr. Fudge was a retired self-employed trucking business owner, member of Harmony Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife, Mittie Costner Fudge; sons, Rick Fudge of Banner Elk, N.C., Larry James Fudge of Edgemoor; and daughters, Lynda Fudge Roper of Fort Mill and Cheryl Fudge McIntosh of Asheville, N.C. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; sisters, Agnes Bost and Sarah Glenn Bailey both of Charlotte, N.C., Lucille Riley of Edgemoor, Jean Loflin of Rock Hill; and brothers Harry Fudge of Edgemoor, Fred Fudge of Richburg and Donnie Fudge of Chester. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, 11 a.m., at Harmony Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home.
