ROCK HILL -- Mr. Ray Loring Able, 66, of 701 Tayler St., died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2008, at Piedmont Medical Center.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 9, 2008, at Gethsemane Church, with Bishop B.R. Wilson officiating and Rev. Allen Steward assisting.
He was born May 13, 1941, in Richburg, a son of the late Tom Able and Alberta Roseborough Able. He attended Finley High School and was a retired Army veteran.
Mr. Able is survived by his wife, Angie Able of Charlotte, N.C.; a son, Christopher L. Judge of Rock Hill; two daughters, Rosalind B. Able of Rock Hill and Jessica Bowns of York; three brothers, John H. Able and Frank Able, both of Rock Hill and Scott Jones of Charlotte; five sisters, Rosie Mae Mills and Lula Mills, both of Charlotte, Thomasen A. Jennings of Rock Hill, Mary C. Gaston and Fannie Rose McCaw, both of Rochester, N.Y.; children he raised, Marion Hunt, James Biggers, both of Rock Hill; three grandchildren; and a host of cousins and other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, Feb. 8, 2008, at Parker Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at 616 Finley Court.
