CLINTWOOD, Va. -- Barbara Strouth Moore, 59, passed away Saturday, Feb. 9, 2008, at her home. She was born July 27, 1948, the daughter of Newton and Maude Strouth. She attended Clintwood High School, was a loving mother and loved animals and gardening.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Moore of Clintwood; her mother, Maude Carrier of Clintwood; her son, John Elliott and wife, Taylor of Rock Hill, S.C.; her daughters, Vania Pearson and husband, Jesse of Roanoke, Va., Benna Cales and husband, Eddy of Rock Hill and Tiffany Mulkey and husband, Josh of Rock Hill; two brothers, John Strouth of Clintwood, Va., and Cecil Strouth of Hawaii; and two grandsons, Thatcher Graham and John Hudson Elliott.
A memorial service for Barbara Strouth Moore will be held today, Feb.12, 2008, at noon, at the residence, 1514 Strouth Road, Clintwood, Va.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for any memorial donations be made to their local Humane Society.
