BLACK MOUNTIAN, N.C. -- William "Bill" H. Monroe, 71, of 24 Penelope St. died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2008, at Golden Living Center in Black Mountain.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008, at Bratton Funeral Home. Mr. Alan Biggers will be officiating. Burial will be at Lakeview Memory Gardens.
Bill was a son of the late Andrew Monroe and Pauline Powell Monroe. He was a member of Central Baptist Church in York and was retired from Rock Hill Printing and Finishing.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Monroe of Black Mountian, N.C.; two daughters, Karen Hinton of York, S.C., and Linda Martin of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; stepdaughter, Teresa Howachyn of Black Mountain, N.C.; stepson, Dale Robinson of York; sister, Barbara Lee of Swansea, S.C.; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held at Bratton Funeral Home on Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008, from 1 to 2 p.m.
