ROCK HILL -- Mr. Joseph Billy Bryson Sr., 79, passed away Friday, Feb. 22, 2008, at White Oak Manor in Rock Hill.
A native of Gastonia, N.C., Bill was a son of the late Henry Lewis and Janie Etta Beaty Bryson. He was the widower of Delores Waters Bryson. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of Tirzah A.R.P. Church.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 25, 2008, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732, with the Reverend Carl Williams officiating and Pastor A. A. Bailey assisting. Interment will follow at 1 p.m. at Sandy Plains Baptist Church Cemetery in Gastonia, N.C. with military honors presented by The American Legion Honor Guard of Frank Roach Post #34 in Rock Hill.
Surviving are two sons, Billy Bryson and wife, Sandy of Gastonia and Danny Bryson of Rock Hill; his grandson, Tim Keener and wife Shelley; and great-granddaughter, Miss Laura Keener, all of Katy, Texas; and his special friend and care-giver, Crystal Williams of Fort Mill.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m.. Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732 and other times at the home of his son, Danny Bryson, 119 Alabama Court, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
