ROCK HILL -- Mrs. Thelma Y. Feemster, 101, of 364 Pendleton St., died Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at her home.
The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2008, at Catawba Baptist Church, with the Revs. Raymond Thompson, Billy Wilson and Kay "Happy" Shaw officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
A native of Gaffney, S.C., Mrs. Feemster was a daughter of the late Walter Alexander Young and the late Floy Wolfe Young. She was a member of Catawba Baptist Church and retired from York General Hospital as a nurse in the labor and delivery newborn baby nursery. She also worked with her husband at Feemster's Dairy on Springdale Road in Rock Hill and did private duty nursing. She was the widow of William Boyd Feemster Sr., who died on Oct. 9, 1978.
Mrs. Feemster is survived by her son, William Boyd Feemster Jr. of Rock Hill; her daughter, Jean Feemster Sturgis of the home; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2008, at Greene Funeral Home Downtown Chapel, 355 E. White St., Rock Hill and other times at the home or at her son's home, William B. Feemster Jr., 810 E. Main St., Rock Hill.
