ROCK HILL -- Mrs. Betty Jo Anderson Edwards, 80, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2008, at Piedmont Medical Center.
The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2008, at Mount Holly United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Dan Bradley officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery.
A native of St. Louis, Mo., Mrs. Edwards was a daughter of the late Clarence Anderson and the late Thelma Wynn Anderson. She was a 1945 graduate of Central High School in Memphis, Tenn., the widow of Thomas E. Edwards III, a member of Mount Holly United Methodist Church and a homemaker.
Mrs. Edwards is survived by her sons, Thomas E. Edwards IV of Columbia, S.C., Dennis B. Edwards and wife, Ponti, of Rock Hill and David B. Edwards and wife, Trudy, of Evans, Ga.; her daughter, Jeanne Edwards Rooley and husband, James, of Mount Juliet, Tenn.; her brother, James Anderson and his wife, Shirley, of Germantown, Tenn.; nine grandchildren, Jim Rooley, Brian Rooley, Tommy Edwards, Jason Edwards, Berrick Edwards, Bryan Edwards, Elizabeth Edwards, Jacob Edwards and Michael Edwards; and three great-grandchildren, Johnathan Rooley, Nicholas Rooley and Sailor Rooley.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today, March 13, 2008, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill and other times at the home of her son, Dennis Edwards, 3497 Marshall Road, Rock Hill.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Holly United Methodist Church Building Fund, 1996 Mount Holly Road, Rock Hill, SC 29730.
